Export Performance Overview
In FY 2024–25, Non-Basmati rice exports continued to demonstrate strong performance despite global uncertainties and fluctuating market conditions. India maintained its position as a reliable supplier by ensuring consistent availability, competitive pricing, and adherence to international quality standards. Demand from key markets in Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East remained robust, supported by stable production and efficient logistics. Strategic government policies, improved port handling, and digital export processes helped streamline shipments and reduce turnaround times. With sustained global demand and diversified buyer networks, the Non-Basmati rice sector continues to contribute significantly to India's foreign exchange earnings and global food security.
